La spedizione in Grecia al Tour of Hellas/Giro di Grecia ha portato in dote il terzo posto finale nella classifica di miglior scalatore per Alessandro Monaco.
Nell’ultima tappa andata in scena da Kalabaka a Ioannina di 154,5 chilometri con la vittoria del danese Emil Toudal, Monaco ha provato a inserirsi nella fuga ma senza successo e non è riuscito a conquistare punti per migliorare la classifica degli scalatori che lo ha visto scivolare al terzo posto dietro il norvegese Embreth Svestad e il neozelandese James Fouchè.
Due sesti posti con Nicolas Dalla Valle in due arrivi in volata e il podio di Monaco nella classifica dei gran premi della montagna costituiscono una base per ripartire nel miglior modo in occasione dellla prossima trasferta all’estero dall’11 al 15 maggio con il Giro di Ungheria con molta voglia di ben figurare al cospetto di 14 formazioni UCI World Tour iscritte alla corsa a tappe ungherese.

Alessandro Monaco third best climber at the Tour of Hellas
The expedition in Greece at the Tour of Hellas brought Alessandro Monaco to third place in the ranking of best climber.
In the last stage, from Kalabaka to Ioannina of 154.5 kilometers with the victory of the Danish Emil Toudal.
